current writing

well considering that this is a blog about writing there might as well be some writing here. This is the beggining to my new story, a one that has no title yet...

I live alone mostly, on a small island off the coast the Caymen Islands. It's nice here. Most people think of me as being lonely on a island alone, but if that was the case I would have left so long ago.
I live how the natives who once lived on this island did, I hunt, gather, and build my own shelter. I must admit most of my food comes from the spear fishing I do. But the rainy season is fastly approaching so I must fish and hunt as much as I can. Thats one thing I dont like about the island, the rain. Sometimes I think of returning to my family in florida during the rainy season, then again they wouldn't let me near an airport because of my smell.
I've lived out here for six years now and I cant imagine myself anywhere else now. It is true I do not actually own this island but I still do consider it my island, after all there is no name for the island, I'm the only one who lives here, and there is no government. So I beleive it's safe to say that I can call this my island.
As mostly everyone else in the world does I have a schedule. However mine consists of hunting and fishing, not visiting the latest boardmeeting by cell phone, as a matter a fact I dont have a cell phone, radio, or television for that matter.
I enjoy fishing, although I can't name every fish I catch I can nickname and eat them.
Today like every other day I go out fishing, but as I dig my feet into the sand surrounding my wooden sleeping area I hear a loud rumble.
An engine.
I recognize the sound anywere. I quickly hide in my sleeping area. and watch as several men and woman jump off the huge boat into the water. These people were not hunters, they are to thin, and the are most definatly not preservers, because the boat isn't comeing over to the beach. Are they vacationers?
The strangers swam closer to the island. I dont beleive Ill like the peticular group of people.
I'm going to protect my island and get rid of every last one of them.

I expect you have stumbled here or been invited here. I am in the process of finding out the appropriate age of an author, I am not very old yet I can't stop writing. It happened 2 years ago when my teacher told us to write a short story of a person in the days of the rennaisance.
I was happy with my short story, yet I got called back to it a week later saying, well lets see this doesn't sound to realistic so I think I will change it. I eventually made so many correction I had to add more on because I kept getting lured into it, intil today I had never had the dream of publishing, yet today I set my goal.
300 pages by October 7 2010
I will be certain to tell you my word count goals as I write.
